Alexander Macfarlane is a London based photographer specialising in travel, street life, portraits, and urban landscape.
Having travelled from a young age, seeing and experiencing foreign cultures first hand changed the way he saw the world. It is the excitement of that first impression that he tries to capture in his photography. After graduating from university with a Politics degree, Alexander moved to Japan. The urban fabric and street fashion of Tokyo fascinated him and he was constantly inspired by how photogenic the country is. Being based in Japan, the opportunities to travel extensively around South East Asia added depth to his portfolio of culture and life.
Alexander now resides in London and continues to travel regularly. He is particularly interested in the human world and through photography strives to capture the way culture and habitat defines how people live.
